A share link shows an agreed part of your record to someone who has no account — an employer, a university admissions office. Every link expires, and you can withdraw one at any time. A link never shows more than your settings above allow, even if you agreed to more when you made it.

Issued documents

A transcript or diploma supplement is a snapshot, signed and permanent. It keeps saying what it said on the day it was issued, so a university can check it years later. Issuing a new one supersedes the previous — the older document still verifies, and says it has been superseded.
