Awards and honours.

Six awards, one for each level, each with its own title and post-nominal. None of them has been conferred on anyone, and this page explains why that is a decision rather than a delay.

The Awards

One for each level.

Each award names a real standing rather than decorating a completion. The first is deliberately modest, because the first is where most people stop.

Honours

Adopted, and applied to nobody.

The scheme below was adopted by the Executive on 14 August 2026, subject to ratification by the Academic Senate once that body has appointed members. It is in force. It has been applied to no one, because no one has yet been assessed — and those are different statements.

Distinction of the CollegeConferred by decision, never calculated — and may be conferred in no cycle at all. It is named for the institution because the College has no Chancellor.

No academic distinction of any kind has been conferred on anyone. The record that would hold them is empty, and this page is generated from it.

Why Nothing Has Been Conferred

The missing person, not the missing paperwork.

The reason

No External Examiner is appointed

An external examiner exists to be outside the College — to confirm that its standards are what it says they are, by someone with nothing to gain from the answer. Conferring an award without one would make the award worth less, not more, and would have to be undone rather than upgraded later.

The consequence

No graduates, and no graduate statistics

The College publishes no completion rates, employment outcomes or graduate numbers, because there are none. Every figure of that kind on a new institution’s website is either borrowed or invented.

The commitment

The order will not be reversed

The examiner is appointed first and awards are conferred after. Doing it the other way would be cheaper, faster, and would permanently compromise every credential the College ever issues.
